Five percent of Austrians shop online daily

Monday 3 April 2017 | 14:38 CET | News
Ninety percent of Austrian internet users shop online at least once a year, reports Der Standard. The fear of fraud, however, inhibits even faster growth in online shopping, according to a survey by Mastercard among 43,000 Europeans. There are also big differences among EU countries. Five percent of internet users in Austria purchase online daily and 29 percent at least once a week. In daily purchases, Austria is below the EU average - 6 percent; and in case of weekly purchases the country is at the EU's average.
