Fixed telephony revenue in Brazil rises 4% in Q2

A report released by JPMorgan on trends among Brazilian telecommunications companies based on data from the second quarter of 2013 indicates that EBITDA fell 6.6 percent year-on-year to BRL 8.2 billion. Revenue from fixed line services (voice, broadband and pay-TV) represented 45 percent of Brazilian operators' total income and rose 4 percent, an improvement on the 1 percent rise the first quarter.
