Thursday 12 July 2018 | 15:16 CET | News

Flexential, the company formed from Peak 10 and ViaWest, announced the construction of its third data centre in the Atlanta area. The 70,000-square foot facility will offer new colocation space as well as fibre connectivity for the company's over 500 Atlanta customers. Adtran was one of the first customers to welcome the expansion.

The two-story data centre will be adjacent to Flexential's existing site in Alpharetta, Georgia, increasing the company's total Atlanta footprint to more than 175,000 square feet. As an edge data centre in northern Atlanta connected to Flexential's FlexAnywhere network fabric, it will have diverse, geographic reach throughout the Southeast. The new data centre will accommodate wholesale and large enterprise deployments, featuring build-to-suit space with UPS-backed power and cooling infrastructure.
