FMK offers mountain emergency mobile app

Monday 12 November 2018 | 14:26 CET | News
Austrian industry organisation Forum Mobilkommunikation (FMK) has developed and is offering a free emergency mobile application to protect skiers and hikers in the mountains. All emergency numbers, including 140 for mountain rescue, are directly selectable via large icons, so that typing in the emergency number is no longer necessary. Users can also set an ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact, which will be displayed on the phone's lock screen and can be read by rescuers.
