Focals AR glasses maker buys tech portfolio behind Intel's shut down Vaunt

North, a Canadian maker of hands-free digital interactions and of Focals AR glasses, has acquired the "technology portfolio" behind Intel's Vaunt augmented reality glasses, North CEO Stephen Lake told The Verge. No financial terms were disclosed. Intel Capital is a major investor in North. Intel shut down its New Devices Group, the operations working on Vaunt, earlier this year.
