FON reaches 2 million members

Wi-Fi community FON announced the milestone of 2 million members and 1.5 million active hotspots worldwide. The group offers 950,000 hotspots in the UK where it works with BT, 175,000 in mainland Europe, 50,000 in Japan and 325,000 across the rest of the world. The company said it expects the number of FON hotspots to more than triple in 2010.
