Ford introduces Speed Limiter feature for cars

Ford is introducing a Speed Limiter feature for cars that prevents drivers from going faster than speed limits, writes TechCrunch.com. The technology is only being rolled out on the company's European line of cars, including the Edge, Galaxy and S-MAX vehicles. Cars with the Intelligent Speed Limiter activated use a camera to read traffic signs ahead and independently adjust their speed. Cars that also have a navigation package will combine the camera data with the speed limit data from the maps. The new feature uses two technologies, namely an adjustable speed limiter, which prevents drivers
