Former Verizon, Qualcomm execs back Ingenu M2M network

On-Ramp Wireless announced a corporate relaunch under the new name Ingenu and the roll-out of a public M2M network in the US. Ingenu is using On-Ramp's Random Phase Multiple Access (RPMA) technology already deployed in private networks to create a public network for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, which it calls the 'Machine Network'. The build out of the Machine Network is already underway, with more than 50,000 square miles covered in the US. The company targets complete metropolitan areas, including Phoenix and Dallas, by January 2016, and the network
