Four out of 10 German internet users stream music

A total of 39 percent of German internet users over the age of 14 use music streaming services, according to a recent Bitkom survey. It found that 22 percent pay for music services from Spotify, Deezer, Soundcloud and others. The Global Music Report 2016 showed that streaming is the fastest-growing source of income in the music industry. Due to high revenues from digital business, global sales increased by 3.2 percent.
