Fox picks SmartJog satellite film distribution service

Digital content transmission specialist SmartJog has won a contract from Twentieth Century Fox to deliver films via satellite to cinemas in Europe. SmartJog, a subsidiary of French TV transmission group TDF, has installed its technology in over 160 cinemas in Europe to which it distributed over 70 films and hundreds of trailers and ads in the last few months. Its digital cinema package includes transmission, traffic monitoring and content management solutions. The deal's value was not disclosed.
