France adds 217,000 FTTH subscribers in Q2

FTTH subscribers in mainland France and the overseas territories rose by 217,000 in the three months to June to reach 2.645 million, according to the latest quarterly statistics from telecom regulator Arcep. The number of fixed broadband lines with a speed of at least 30 Mbps increased to 6.150 million, including FTTH, hybrid fibre-coaxial, VDSL and LTE-based connections marketed as fixed offers. Out of this total, 3.975 million were capable of a speed of at least 100 Mbps, up by 264,000 in the quarter.
