France adds 266,000 FTTH subscribers in Q1

FTTH subscribers in mainland France and the overseas territories rose by 266,000 in the three months to March to reach 2.45 million, according to the latest quarterly statistics from telecom regulator Arcep. The number of fixed broadband lines with a speed of at least 30 Mbps increased to 5.84 million, including FTTH, hybrid fibre-coaxial, VDSL and LTE-based connections marketed as fixed offers. Out of this total, 3.73 million were capable of a speed of at least 100 Mbps, up by 282,000 in the quarter.
