France introduces new radiation safety rules

Spectrum agency ANFR has published a summary of new regulation introduced by the French government to reinforce standards set out to protect the public from radio frequency exposure. The agency already monitors compliance with the specific absorption rate (SAR) limit set for the 'trunk' and 'head' body regions (2 W/kg for both). A new limit of 4 W/kg has now been introduced for the 'limb' body region.
