France invests EUR 23 mln in new round of e-Health projects

The French government has selected 14 projects for the second round of the e-Health programme. As their total expected investment is EUR 47 million, the projects will receive EUR 23 million of government assistance. The include supermarket chain Casino, working on a system to help people with reduced autonomy to leave their home and do their shopping, and Spie Communications' monitoring and health education service for Type 2 diabetics. Other big companies include Agfa, EOS Imaging, Legrand and Altran. Although using M2M and other telecom technologies, no operator-led project was chosen. The
