France makes progress in harmonisation of L-band spectrum for mobile services

French spectrum agency ANFR announced that the latest version of the country's national frequency plan has come into force after been modified to reflect updates on the L-band (1427-1518 GHz). The changes are part of the harmonisation project that is taking place at European level to provide additional spectrum for mobile services. In particular, the plan now specifies the future of 1427-1429 MHz and 1492-1518 MHz frequencies, which will be placed under the authority of telecom regulator Arcep by 01 January 2023 at the latest.
