France plans spectrum management review

The French government announced plans to review its management of radio frequencies. Fleur Pellerin, the minister for the digital economy, said the scarce resources could be managed better in order to stimulate innovation and growth. Professor Joelle Toledano, aided by the national spectrum regulator ANFR, will lead the review. It will look at which frequency bands offer possibilities for sharing and innovative use, as well as propose a "tool box" for improved spectrum management, including methods of shared access.
