France publishes call for top-level domain registry

The French ministry of the economy has published calls for applications to act as the registry for French top-level domains in the Official Journal. Afnic was designated as the registry for the .fr TLD in March 2010 but the call for applications had to be repeated after the Constitutional Council found an article in the French Electronic Communications and Telecommunications Act to not comply with the Constitution. A new legal framework was set up. Candidates now have 52 days to submit their applications to act as registry for the following TLDs: .bl for Saint-Barthelemey, .fr for France,
