France Telecom to freeze job cuts, hire 380 workers

France Telecom has announced new measures as part of its negotiations with unions over psychosocial risks and the drawing up of a new social contract at the group's operations in France. The company will freeze all restructuring until the end of the year. It will hire 380 new technical and sales staff by the end of the year, prioritising fixed term contracts and apprenticeships. The equivalent of 1,000 full time outsourced posts will be brought back in house. France Telecom agreed to give workers more time to log on and off at call centres and to record the day's orders from stores. The
