France's Q1 digital music sales up 28% to EUR 23 mln - study

France's digital recorded music sales reached EUR 23.06 million in the first quarter, up 27.8 percent on the year-earlier period, according to national music labels' association SNEP. Internet download revenues were 50.5 percent higher at EUR 12.49 million, with album sales up 68 percent and single track sales up 55 percent. Streaming music revenues more than doubled to EUR 2.58 million and subscriptions grew by 26.9 percent to EUR 3.82 million. Mobile music revenues fell by 21.8 percent to EUR 4.18 million as a fall in turnover from ringtones was not offset by track sales, which rose by 11 percent.
