Fransat adds Berber bundle to its lineup

French free-to-air DTT platform Fransat has added the Berbere TV premium package from North Africa. consisting of three TV channels (generalist, music and youth) and two radio stations. The bundle will be broadcast unencrypted until the end of the month, after which customers can pay EUR 24.90 to continue receiving it for 6 months or EUR 44.90 for 1 year. Berbere TV already has several tens of thousands of subscribers in North Africa and other European countries. Fransat writes that there are currently around 2 million Berber, or "Amazigh, speakers living in France.
