Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems supports terahertz technology project

The Fraunhofer Institute For Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) said it has taken part in the project T-KOS by providing high-frequency front-end products in the range of 60-500 GHz and an energy-efficient AI accelerator based on in-memory computing. The project T-KOS by the Research Factory Microelectronics Germany (FDM) aims to develop terahertz technology for the first time by pulling together synergies in the fields of communication and sensor technology. The project, which started in May with nine partners, aims to develop terahertz technology for wireless radio transmission, testing
