German operator Freenet said its revenues declined by EUR 29.7 million year-on-year in Q1 2021 to EUR 619.2 million due in particular to the closures of Gravis and Mobilcom debitel stores as a consequence of lockdown measures. EBITDA improved to EUR 108.8 million from EUR 104.2 million, driven by positive operating performance in the TV and Media segment. Free cash flow rose to EUR 59.5 million. Freenet added 218,000 subscribers to reach a total of 8.64 million at the end of March.
