French altnets denounce Orange near-monopoly in fibre market

Alternative Telecom, an association grouping eleven French alternative operators, has addressed a letter to Orange's CEO Stephane Richard demanding access to B2B wholesale fibre products at commercially viable prices, reports Silicon. Alternative Telecom's vice-president, Bernard Lemoine, told Silicon that alternative operators face a situation of near-monopoly in the B2B market when it comes to FTTH services. Denouncing the current regulatory framework, the association is lobbying for changes to the way rivals can access Orange's FTTH network to enable them to compete fairly as the market
