French authorities to charge group behind illegal sports streaming websites

Tuesday 25 June 2019 | 12:37 CET | News
A group of five people are facing charges for running around twenty illegal sports streaming websites, linked to a platform called beinsport-streaming.com. The trial will take place in Rennes following a successful operation by the cyber-crime unit of the local police force. The anti-piracy investigation was prompted last year by a complaint made by beIN Sports, Canal Plus and Altice France's RMC Sport division, in collaboration with anti-piracy association ALPA.
