French broadcasters get on YouTube bandwagon

YouTube now has 28 million viewers a month in France, including 9 million daily viewers, a figure up 38 percent a year, writes Le Monde, citing Mediametrie statistics. French broadcasters first looked at YouTube as the big bad wolf, but some first adopters, like BFMTV and Euronews quickly adopted YouTube to maximise their reach. The newspaper writes that French broadcasters are no longer deciding whether or not to be on YouTube but are engaged in a revolution to develop a virtuous ecosystem within it.
