French consumer group CLVC sues ten mobile operators

French consumer association CLVC has filed a lawsuit against ten mobile operators for placing abusive clauses in their contracts. CLVC said the litigation follows its receipt of numerous complaints and its own investigation. The plaintiffs in the suit are Orange France, SFR, Bouygues Telecom, Free Mobile, Virgin Mobile, La Poste Mobile, Coriolis, Numericable, Prixtel and Simplus. CLVC claims that operators' general conditions are "dense and technical", discouraging customers from reading and understanding them. They also contain conditions the group considers "unacceptable".
