French digital music sales up 19% in 2019

Revenues from recorded music reached EUR 772.5 million in France across 2019, of which just over half came from the digital music segment, according to the latest annual report from music labels association Snep. Growth in the overall market progressed at a faster pace of 5 percent, versus 2 percent growth in 2018, despite the ongoing fall in physical sales (-10%). Digital music revenues progressed by 19 percent to reach EUR 395 million in 2019.
