French govt asks ANFR, CSA to improve DTT reception

The French government has asked national frequencies agency ANFR and broadcast regulator CSA to study technical modifications to improve DTT reception in northwest and eastern France. Reception problems arose with the introduction of six new DTT channels which required changes in the frequency plan and the strength of transmission signals. The country's budget and digital economy ministers asked the two agencies to look into the possibility of adding transmitters in the affected areas, notably on the Cotentin peninsula. They also requested that the ANFR continue to provide a satellite TV
