French govt confirms new target for faster internet access nationwide by 2020

The French government has committed to improve the availability of "good" internet access, described as delivering a minimum 8 Mbps speed, to all households and businesses in the country by 2020. The objective, first unveiled in July, will be delivered with the help of alternative network technologies, such as satellite and fixed LTE.
