French m-commerce doubles in a year

French m-commerce sales grew by 97 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013, compared with a year earlier, according to distance selling association Fevad. In the full year, websites forming part of Fevad's m-commerce index (iCM), which looks at B2C products and services, generated 11 percent of revenue from purchases on mobiles and tablets, compared to 5.5 percent in 2012. The overall French e-commerce market is estimated to have grown by 13.5 percent to EUR 51.1 billion in 2013, passing the symbolic EUR 50 billion mark for the first time.
