French m-commerce market grows 150% to EUR 1 bln in 2012

France's m-commerce market rose to around EUR 1 billion in 2012 from EUR 400 million a year earlier, accounting for nearly 2 percent of all e-commerce sales, according to French e-commerce association Fevad. The figure excludes pay apps and is based on sites participating in the body's iCM mobile commerce index. In the fourth quarter of 2012, m-commerce sales were 2.6 times higher than in the fourth quarter of 2011.
