French media institute files second suit vs YouTube

France's national audiovisual institute, INA, has filed a second lawsuit against YouTube claiming that the latter's Video ID filtering technology is ineffective. INA legal director Jean-Francois Debarnot told Les Echos that several American majors are currently testing the institute's Signature filtering technology, which it wants YouTube to adopt as well. Several French media companies such as TF1, Canal Plus, EuropaCorp and TDF are using Signature.
