French mobile connections up 2.1% in Q4 as prepaid contraction slows

Tuesday 11 February 2020 | 16:42 CET | News
French mobile connections remained on an upward trend in the three months to December, as year-on-year growth improved for a third consecutive quarter to 2.1 percent. That compares to growth of 1.8 percent in Q3 2019 and 1.4 percent in Q4 2018. According to Arcep's latest report for mainland France, this progression continued to reflect a slower contraction in the prepaid segment, which lost 169,000 connections in the quarter compared to a loss of 376,000 in the year-earlier period.
