French mobile service prices decrease by 27.2% in 2013

French mobile service prices decreased by an average 27.2 percent in 2013, after having dropped by 11.4 percent in 2012, according to telecom regulator Arcep's survey of customers of the country's four MNOs and two largest MVNOs. This decrease affects all types of consumer, thanks to the development of high volume and unlimited plans for voice calls and SMS. In 2013, prices decreased by 33.1 percent for prepaid customers. The price decrease reached an average 25.5 percent for customers subscribing to post-paid contracts. The price of plans without a subsidised handset dropped by 28.1 percent
