French operators bring LTE to new tram line in Nice

Tuesday 2 July 2019 | 11:40 CET | News
Passengers travelling on the newly-opened 'West-East' tram line in the city of Nice can benefit from LTE coverage thanks a project completed by France's four network operators. Having led the deployment work, Bouygues Telecom commented on this achievement saying that for the first time one of the country's underground public transport systems has been equipped with LTE connectivity from its inauguration. The four operators have invested EUR 1 million in the network sharing project, covering 3 km of tunnels and four stations.
