French operators join forces to test conversational SMS service

French association Af2m announced that Bouygues Telecom, Orange and SFR are collaborating in a pilot to offer brands a conversational SMS service as an alternative communication channel with end-customers. The first phase of testing will use short numbers, with longer numbers starting with 09 available at a later stage. The pilot of this multi-operator service is open to all mobile messaging professionals with access to SMS marketing from Bouygues Telecom, Orange and SFR.
