French operators launch translation service for phone users with disabilities

French telecom federation FFTelecoms (Federation Francaise des Telecoms) has announced the official launch from its members of a simultaneous translation service to help customers with disabilities such as deafness, hearing impairment, and aphasia. This initiative has been introduced to comply with new rules set in July by telecom regulator Arcep.
