French operators ordered to provide translation service for phone users with disabilities

French regulator Arcep published a decision on new obligations for operators regarding the provision of accessible communications services for fixed and mobile phone users with disabilities. Based on feedback from a public consultation earlier this year, the regulator has ruled that operators must provide a simultaneous translation service starting from October, and has set a number of indicators that the service must comply with.
