French operators see 3.9% drop in fixed service revenues in Q1

Growth in French telecom service revenues remained in negative territory in the first three months of the year, impacted by a worsening trend in fixed service revenues and the ongoing decline in added-value services. According to Arcep's latest quarterly report, service revenues fell 2.0 percent year-on-year to EUR 7.60 billion (-2.4% in Q4 2018). The fixed market generated service revenues of EUR 4.13 billion, down 3.9 percent after a 3.2 percent drop in the previous quarter, while the added-value services segment saw revenues decline to EUR 233 million (-9.7% versus -16.4% in Q4).
