France's lower house of parliament has adopted new legislation to protect consumers against unsolicited nuisance calls. The law introduces tougher sanctions to stamp out illegal practices, with penalties of up to EUR 375,000 for companies and up to EUR 75,000 for individuals breaching the new regulation.
