French public broadcaster signs deal with Discovery to air winter and summer Olympics

Public broadcaster France Televisions has reached an agreement with US media company Discovery Communications to air the 2024 Summer Olympics, hosted in Paris, as well as the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Discovery secured exclusive rights to distribute these competitions across Europe in 2015. The company has retained ownership of the rights in France, where Discovery's sports broadcaster Eurosport will also show the Olympics on its channels.
