French regulator awards fixed LTE licence in Haute-Saone

Wednesday 13 November 2019 | 11:03 CET | News
Telecom authority Arcep has approved a new regional fixed LTE licence under the ongoing award process to allocate 3.5 GHz spectrum for high-speed open access networks in French rural areas. The new licence enables the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region to expand the reach of the 'RCube THD' wireless network to 12,000 additional homes in the Haute-Saone department, complementing the current footprint of nearly 130,000 premises. A budget of EUR 1 million has been allocated for the expansion.
