French regulator warns mobile operators over insufficient progress on New Deal targets – report

Wednesday 31 July 2019 | 11:55 CET | News
French regulator Arcep has addressed a warning to the country's four mobile networks over their progress with the New Deal coverage targets agreed with the government last year, reports Les Echos citing sources with knowledge of the matter. The formal warning is one of the measures that Arcep has at its disposal to put pressure on operators, as it would give the regulator more powers in triggering sanctions without delay, should the LTE coverage objectives set for 2020 be missed.
