French report proposes how to increase innovation

While France is the fifth biggest economic power, it is only sixteenth in terms of investment in innovation, digital economy minister Fleur Pellerin told Les Echos on the day the Beylat-Tambourin report on innovation was been submitted to the French government. The report proposes 19 measures to favour the emergence of an 'innovation culture'. They range from starting English and IT programming lessons in primary school and teaching entrepreneurship at universities to simplifying immigration procedures for talented researchers, venture capitalists and serial entrepreneurs.
