French spectrum agency informs smartphone owners of radiation levels via app

France's spectrum agency ANFR has added a new tool to its 'Open Barres' mobile application, enabling users to display the specific absorption rate (SAR) of their smartphones. This information will show the figures provided by handset makers. It will also include the results of independent measures for those phones that have been tested under the ANFR programme, to verify compliance with SAR limits.
