French telecom operator revenues down 0.7 percent in Q3 2016

Revenue growth for French telecoms operators remained in negative territory in the third quarter of 2016, falling at an annual rate of 0.7 percent, according to telecom regulator Arcep. The year-on-year drop improved from the previous quarter (-1.9%), reflecting a recovery in both the fixed and mobile sectors. After several years in the red, fixed revenues have narrowly returned to growth (0.2%), while the fall in mobile revenue improved to -0.6 percent (-1.8% in Q2). The sector accounting for non-telecoms revenue, such as equipment sales or rentals, showed an improved growth rate of 1.5
