French VoD market sees revenues from subscription-based services nearly double in 2017

Friday 29 December 2017 | 12:50 CET | News
Revenues from subscription-based VOD reached EUR 173 million in France during the first nine months of 2017, up by 98.3 percent over the year-earlier period, according to a study published by the French national film centre, the CNC. This two-fold increase was supported by the popularity of Netflix, which topped the list of platforms used by French internet users who paid for VoD services (37.3% in September and 30.7% over the January-September period).
