French websites attract more foreign visitors

French websites are less international and mainly viewed by people living in France (69%), contrasting with Germany and the US where domestic and international viewers are nearly the same, according to OC&C Strategy Consultants. The level of international viewers worldwide stands at around 42 percent. OC&C finds that France has a EUR 700 million negative trade balance in transnational e-commerce, based on a EUR 7 billion global market estimate, compared to a EUR 870 million trade surplus in the UK and EUR 130 million in the US. The top two pure player brands in the world by visits are eBay
