Frontier reports lower Q1, emerges from bankruptcy with fresh fibre expansion plans

US fixed operator Frontier Communications expects to emerge from bankruptcy on 30 April. The company said its restructuring reduces debt by about USD 11 billion and annual interest expenses by USD 1 billion. At emergence, Frontier will have liquidity of over USD 1.3 billion, creating flexibility to reinvest in its fibre network. It will in addition issue 244 million new shares to senior unsecured noteholders.
