FTC orders D-Link to implement better security for routers, connected cameras

The case started in 2017 when the commission said that the company's devices left customer data, including live video and audio feeds, exposed to third parties and open to hacking. The FTC sued the company over the security of its routers and IP cameras, saying the company had failed to perform basic secure software development, including testing and remediation, to address the well-known and preventable security flaws.
